I have, for the first time in many years, re-evaluated the content management systems I support here at Harbor Technologies. In the past I have exclusively supported DNN. DNN is a CMS built on .net technologies and has grown an matured well over the years. The problem that I have with DNN is that it can be difficult for end users to grasp the editing concepts. Enter WordPress. WordPress is easily the most widely used CMS on the internet, boasting around a quarter of all web sites on the internet. WordPress is not perfect for all sites, but presents a simple interface and first rate blogging engine. This makes it perfect for small sites and quick development, however, this simplicity can be somewhat limiting. What I needed was an easy to use plugin that allowed for easier editing of more complex layouts. What I found was Beaver Builder. Beaver Builder is a WordPress plugin that incorporates professional templates and a first class front end editor. I have only been working with it for a couple of days, but I immediately am seeing the power and simplicity of the product. As such, I have purchased the Pro version so that I and all my clients can benefit from this slick product.
